Quran, Etrat, Prayers Week in Iranian Schools

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Schools across Iran started observing a Week of honoring the Quran, Etrat (household of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)), and prayers.

 

The 37th edition of the Quran, Etrat and Prayers competition of school students is also held during the week.

Speaking at a ceremony held in a Tehran school to mark the beginning of the week, an Education Ministry official highlighted the importance of reading and contemplating the Quran in family and society.

Abdol Rasoul Karimi also described the Holy Book as the best refuge for Muslims, Fars reported.

Elsewhere, he highlighted the large number of participants in the Quran, Etrat and Prayers competition, noting that last year, 400,000 school students attended the contest in Tehran alone.
